The Testa di Moro (Sicilian Moor's Head) Woman H 38 cm / 15" in Antique Mother of Pearl, Gold and Lustres is shaped and decorated by hand by Ceramiche Sofia in Caltagirone. The face, in glossy ivory glaze, has blue eyes and red lips painted by hand; the hair and the crown are in antique mother of pearl, an ivory with a brown patina in the recesses. On the forehead there is a scrolled diadem with a red lustre drop; on the crown and at the sides of the face there are red spheres, gold spheres at the ears and a necklace of red and gold beads at the neck.
