The Albarello Vase with Handles, Plastico Sofia, Antique Mother of Pearl, Gold and Lustre is shaped and decorated by hand by Ceramiche Sofia in Caltagirone. It has the shape of the albarello, the old apothecary jar, with sides narrowing at the waist and two small curl handles on the shoulder. The Plastico Sofia relief runs in two friezes of volutes and lilies, on the shoulder and at the base, and at the center opens a rosette in relief with amber-colored spheres at the sides; small gold spheres complete the decoration. The surface is in antique mother of pearl, ivory with gray veils, and the rim and the foot are in copper-colored lustre.
